Ratings & their Meanings
G - General Audiences
Suitable for all ages.
G-rated movies are suitable for viewers of all ages. They contain little or no violence, strong language, or mature themes, making them ideal for children and families.
PG - Parental Guidance Suggested
Some content may not be suitable for young children.
PG-rated movies may include mild violence, scary scenes, or themes that younger children might not fully understand. Parents are encouraged to review the content before allowing young children to watch.
PG-13 - Parents Strongly Cautioned
Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
PG-13 movies contain material that may be inappropriate for children under 13. They often include stronger action, moderate language, or more mature themes than PG-rated films.
R - Restricted
Under 17 requires a parent or adult guardian.
R-rated movies contain adult content such as strong language, violence, sexual material, or drug use. Viewers under 17 usually need a parent or adult guardian to accompany them.
NC-17 - No One 17 and Under Admitted
Intended only for adults.
NC-17 movies are intended only for adults. They may contain explicit sexual content, graphic violence, or other mature themes that are not considered suitable for minors.
